LOOP-THE-LOOP PAPER PLANE
Materials needed:
● A sheet of heavy paper
● A pencil
● Sharp scissors
● A paper clip
● Crayons
Method:
Here’s a paper airplane that will fly in circles.
● First fold the paper in half the long way
● Then draw an airplane with wings and tail on it.
● Next draw a line about an inch away from the fold on each ide the full length of paper.
● Then cut out the airplane, but do not cut on the fold.
● After that spread out the airplane and colour it. You can draw airplane markings near each wing tip.
● Next refold your airplane. Now fold each wing down along the time drawn on it.
● Then add a paper clip to the nose. You can change the way your airplane flies by changing the wing shape and putting more than one paper clip on the nose.

How to Bake a Cake
I like cakes, and they are easy to bake. First, read the recipe
carefully. Then, gather the ingredients and turn on the oven to 350
degrees F. after that, mix the sugar with the butter. Add the flour and
continue mixing for fifteen minutes. Next, turn off the beater and pour
the mixture into a cake pan. After that, put the cake in the oven.
Finally, after half-an-hour, check to see if the cake is ready, and take
the cake out of the oven.
How to Make Rice
I make rice almost everyday. First, I put some water in a pot and then I
put the pot on the fire. When it becomes hot, I put rice in the pot
that contains the water. After that I cook the rice over a medium fire
for about 15 minutes. Finally, the rice is ready, and I serve it to my
guests.
How to Make a Pulley
Materials:
● At least 2 points around which to loop the string, e.g. sticks (approx. 2 cm wide and 30 cm long), table legs or chair legs.
● Strong non-twisting string, twice the length of the distance to be covered.
● At least 1 carrier of a suitable size to carry message, e.g. small, light box.
● Masking tape
● At least 2 operators
Method:
● Measure the distance between the two points.
● Cut the string to twice this distance.
● Loop the string around the points.
● Tie the ends of the string in a knot so that the string is stretched firmly between the points.
● Attach the box/boxes to the string with masking tape.
● Test the pulley out by the operator pulling one side of the string.

How to see things (simple microscope experiment)
Here, you will look at a range of optical instruments used to extend people’s ability to see things.
Materials:
● Hand lens
● Tripod magnifier
● Flowers
● Fresh, hairy leaves
Procedures/Steps:
● The hand lens is an instrument for giving magnifications of from 5 to 20 times. Look at one of the flowers with your unaided eyes.
● Now use the hand lens to examine the same flower.
● List all the details you can see now that were not clearly visible to your unaided eye before.
● What magnifications does the hand lens you are using give?
● Now place a leaf beneath the tripod of your tripod magnifier and adjust the height of the lens by screwing it up or down until the object is in focus.
● What magnification is provided by the tripod magnifier you are using?
● What details can you see about the leaf which were not clearly visible t your unaided eye?

● Next, you must dig a hole in the ground and draw a line a fair distance away from the hole.
● The first player carefully throws his or her marble towards the hole.
● Then the second player tries to throw his or her marble closer for the hole than his or her opponent.
